Deja Johnson, a former Brownfield High School standout, and the Lubbock Christian Chaparrals suffered a 45-80 defeat by the Colorado Mesa Mavericks in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament on Friday, March 13.
The matchup at Kitty Magee Arena began at 11 a.m. and marked the team’s opening contest against the Colorado Mesa Mavericks in this year’s event.
