The Lubbock Christian Chaparrals, featuring former Brownfield High School standout Tia Johnson, were defeated 80-45 by the Colorado Mesa Mavericks on Friday, March 13, during the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.
Kitty Magee Arena hosted the 11 a.m. tipoff, which served as the tournament’s opening contest against Colorado Mesa.
