A Midland oil and gas company’s online donation campaign raised more than $33,000 for the West Texas Food Bank.
EagleClaw Midstream President and CEO Jamie Welch said the company is delighted to show its support to West Texans affected by the economic fallout caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Our employees really stepped up with this campaign and surpassed our original goal by more than 50 percent,” Welch said in a news release reported by Oil & Gas 360. "I am so proud of their efforts to help out those less fortunate in these challenging times."
Welch said EagleClaw Midstream matched employee donations on a dollar-for-dollar basis.
In April, the company donated $50,000 to Midland area hospitals and emergency responders to purchase much-needed personal protective equipment for front-line health care workers. It also contributed to the purchase of fuel for the air transport of critically ill patients from rural areas in West Texas.
