The Plainview CARES Small Business Relief Fund was recently launched to help businesses in the city that have been impacted by COVID-19.
The Plainview Herald reports grants are being distributed based on businesses’ annual gross revenue, with grants ranging from $2,500 to $20,000. Funds can go toward a number of expenses including payroll, rent, inventory and utility costs to maintain business operations.
Grants are being given on a first-come, first-served basis with recipients being chosen with assistance from the South Plains Association of Government. Eligible businesses must be located in the Plainview city limits and have been in operation for at least one year.
Funding for the grants is being made possible through the CARES Act. The City of Plainview is offering the Plainview CARES Small Business Relief Fund in collaboration with the Plainview Chamber of Commerce and the Plainview/Hale County Economic Development Corp.
