City of Plainview issued the following announcement.
Citizens are encouraged to drop off household items including furniture, small appliances, household items, trash/debris and tree limbs/grass clippings.
Drop-off sites will not accept tires, flammable, corrosive, toxic, explosive or hazardous materials, oil, items containing Freon, batteries, roofing & fencing materials, paint, air conditioners, large appliances and pesticide containers.
Dumpster locations include 18th Street & Galveston, the corner of Kermit St. & Garland St., Estacado Middle School tennis courts and Running Water Draw Regional Park (Kidsville) near the blue boxes.
The location will not be staffed. If a tub location is overflowing, please take items to another tub location or the landfill located at 1030 County Road Y.
“In a continued effort to beautify Plainview, the loan-a-tubs will be available for citizens to discard any household items, tree limbs or trash,” says Tim Crosswhite, Public Works Director. “We encourage everyone to discard items in the tub to keep the alleys and other areas clean.”
