City of Plainview issued the following announcement.
The City of Plainview administration offices, Unger Memorial Library and Plainview / Hale County Health Department are currently closed to the public. Staff will not be in the office Thursday and Friday, November 26th and 27th for the Thanksgiving holiday. Unger Memorial Library will also be closed on Saturday, Nov. 28th.
The Solid Waste Department (Landfill) will be open normal business hours on Friday and Saturday, November 26th and 27th. Residential routes will run early concluding by Wednesday and Commercial routes will run as normal with the exception of Thursday. The Recycle Center will be open Monday – Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Appointments for drop-offs are preferred and can be made by calling 291-1222.
For non-emergency situations, citizens can call 296.1182. For emergencies, dial 9-1-1. City staff will return to the office on Monday, November 30th.
