City of Plainview issued the following announcement.
The caller told dispatch that his vehicle had been struck by gunfire.
Officers responded and located the suspected gunman at the residence of 1610 W. 22nd in Plainview Texas.
The victim called police from the Allsup’s Convenience store at 1307 W. 24th Street. He was seen by Emergency Medical Services for a non-life-threatening injury to his right upper arm caused by glass and not from the projectile.
The suspected gunman is detained pending the preliminary investigation for the offense of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
This offense is still under investigation.
