Plainview ISD schools Education: 683 white students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 683 white students enrolled in Plainview ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 4.3% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Plainview ISD schools welcomed 4,752 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, white students comprised 14.4% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Plainview ISD roughly covers schools within Hale County and has a main office in Plainview.

Among the 10 schools in Plainview ISD schools, Plainview High School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 214 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
