15 gifted and talented students were taught in Kent County schools in the 2022-23 school year

Test 08

Kent County schools enrolled 15 students who were identified as being gifted and talented during the 2022-23 school year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

This is unchanged from the previous school year.

Of the 175 students enrolled in Kent County schools, 8.6% of them were considered to be gifted and talented.

Kent County enrolled the 14th lowest number of gifted and talented students among Texas counties.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
