There were 1,203 students enrolled in Littlefield ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 2.6% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.5% of them were boys, and 49.5% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 76.6% of the Littlefield ISD total enrollment.

Littlefield ISD roughly covers schools within Lamb County with its main office in Littlefield.

Among the four schools in Littlefield ISD, Littlefield High School recorded the highest enrollment of 364 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
