Enrollment Analysis: white students comprised 55.8% of Patton Springs ISD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 43 white students enrolled in Patton Springs ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 15.7% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Patton Springs ISD schools welcomed 77 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 55.8% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Patton Springs ISD roughly covers schools within Dickens County and has a main office in Afton.

Patton Springs School was the only school in the district which enrolled white students, welcoming 43 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
