Cotton Center ISD schools Education: 55 Hispanic students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 55 Hispanic students enrolled in Cotton Center ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 1.9% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Cotton Center ISD schools welcomed 100 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 55% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Cotton Center ISD roughly covers schools within Hale County and has a main office in Cotton Center.

Cotton Center School was the only school in the district which enrolled Hispanic students, welcoming 55 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
