How many Hispanic students were enrolled in Sudan ISD schools in 2022-23 school year?

There were 238 Hispanic students enrolled in Sudan ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 5.2% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Sudan ISD schools welcomed 474 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 50.2% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Sudan ISD roughly covers schools within Lamb County and has a main office in Sudan.

Among the two schools in Sudan ISD schools, Sudan Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 147 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
