There were 112 white students enrolled in Motley County school in the 2021-22 school year, 4.3% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Motley County welcomed 157 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, white comprised 71.3% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the county.

Motley County School was the only school in the county which enrolled white students, welcoming 157 in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
